Hey guys...Had bad weather earlier today at home base for TCOP, so apologies for getting this dispatch out later than I would like..
First, a few more quick thoughts on last night's Oscars. Although Anne Hathaway gave it everything she had, I thought James Franco's increasingly disinterested glare that echoed “we're dying” said it all for me.
Still, you gotta look for the silver lining in every situation, and I found mine in the Red Carpet for the show. Although I've posted a couple of fashion-type articles in recent months, I'm no Tim Gun or Cojo, so I've shied away from posting such material since the Golden Globes. But there were some amazing looking women doing the media walk last eve; in fact, I didn't dislike any dresses last night.
Among my faves were a ravishing in red Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis' classy lavender look with classy low cut design, Gwyneth Paultrow's silver get up, Anne Hathaway's red number (and all her host outfits didn't disappoint, either), Cate Blanchett (I loved the unusual design), fellow Southerner Reese Witherspoon (loved the 60's-ish ponytail) and ABC's Robin Roberts and Erin Andrews.
...and I do believe that's a wrap on my Oscar coverage for 2011...Hopefully this year will be a little kinder whre I can actually offer commentary on the movies in advance along with landing a nominee or two...
